18 Oct Denver Heating and Cooling: It’s Time to Pay Your A/C Unit Some Mind
It may only be just autumn, but there’s no denying that winter can’t seem to come soon enough, especially in the mountains of Colorado. CBS Denver reports on the dropping temperatures, which all but announce the complete changing of seasons:
It’s hard to tell it’s October near Loveland Pass, but snow has blanketed the slopes and trees.
And there’s a familiar noise in the air at both Arapahoe Basin and Loveland.
“This weekend the cold temperatures returned and Mother Nature dropped eight inches of snow on us,” John Sellers of Loveland said. “Last night was our most productive night — temperatures dropping into the teens. And with the natural snow we got, it’s starting to look a lot more like winter around here.”
With the warmth of the summer sun all but a memory of yesterday, it’s not surprising that for many homeowners, checking up on their AC units is farthest from their minds. Then again, the truth of the matter is that there’s no better time to have your A/C unit maintained, repaired, or replaced than now that the cold season is here.
Having your A/C unit checked by a Denver heating and cooling professional over the fall season makes perfect sense. During the hot summer months, you could barely turn your A/C off, even for a small amount of time. In autumn however, you can turn your unit off for hours, even days, without melting into a puddle of sweat. If you spent the summer complaining how your cooling appliance hasn’t been doing its job, then now is the perfect time to call an HVAC expert and have your unit checked.
Regular A/C maintenance is important in order to ensure that your unit performs optimally, and this is when an HVAC expert is your best friend. A licensed HVAC expert can ensure that your A/C system is working correctly and efficiently through scheduled maintenance and inspections.
If normal wear and tear causes your A/C unit to fail, professional HVAC specialists can make the necessary repairs to bring it back up to standards. Icing and leaks are some of the issues that these experts can ably handle.
If your system is more than a decade old, it may be time to look for a new one. Talk to a Denver heating and air conditioning company about replacing your current system with a better one. By choosing to upgrade, you will save time, money, and headaches in the long run.
